The following values are used as the reference specification for this FeSi72 product. If your purchase contract requires tighter chemistry limits or a more specific particle-size acceptance rule, the confirmed order specification should be used as the final basis.

A specification written only as FeSi72 10-100mm can still be interpreted in different ways. The size definition should therefore be clarified before screening and packing begin.

FeSi72 10-100mm as One Broad Lump Range

If your equipment can accept ferro silicon throughout the full 10-100mm range, the material can be specified as one broad nominal fraction. This gives more flexibility than requiring one narrow particle range.

FeSi72 10-50mm and 50-100mm as Separate Fractions

If smaller and larger FeSi72 lumps are used differently in your plant, specify the required quantity of 10-50mm and 50-100mm separately. The two fractions can then be screened and identified independently instead of being treated as one mixed 10-100mm product.

The nominal 10-100mm range defines the target product size, but it does not automatically define how much material below 10mm or above 100mm can be accepted. These limits should be written separately when particle distribution affects the production process.

FeSi72 10-100mm Fines Control

If material below 10mm affects weighing, feeding or furnace charging, include a maximum fines percentage in the purchase requirement. Without an agreed numerical limit, the nominal 10-100mm description alone does not define the acceptable amount of fines.

FeSi72 10-100mm Oversize Control

The same rule applies to pieces above 100mm. When oversized lumps can block a hopper, chute or feeding opening, define an acceptable oversize limit before production.

FeSi72 10-100mm Pre-Shipment Size Inspection

Particle-size acceptance should be checked separately from chemical analysis. Chemistry verifies that the material is FeSi72, while physical inspection verifies whether the supplied lump distribution matches the size requirement.

A broad FeSi72 10-100mm range is most practical when the complete material-transfer route can accept both medium and coarse lumps. Storage bins, weighing equipment, chutes and charging openings should all be considered before the size range is confirmed.

FeSi72 10-100mm for Broad Lump Charging

When the charging system does not require a narrow particle distribution, one 10-100mm specification can simplify purchasing while still defining a clear minimum and maximum nominal size.

When FeSi72 10-100mm Should Be Narrowed

If your equipment limits the maximum lump dimension or requires a more uniform feed, use a narrower fraction such as 10-50mm. If coarse lumps are specifically required, specify 50-100mm rather than accepting the complete 10-100mm range.

 

Packing instructions should follow the particle-size definition written in the purchase order.

If 10-100mm is accepted as one broad product range, the material can be identified as one size specification. If 10-50mm and 50-100mm must remain separate, the quantity and packing identification for each fraction should be written independently.

This also gives your receiving team a clearer basis for checking whether the shipment matches the agreed size configuration.

 

The FeSi72 batch COA is mainly used to verify chemical composition. Particle size is a separate physical acceptance item and should not be inferred from the chemistry report.

For a size-controlled order, we recommend keeping the same four items consistent from quotation through shipment: FeSi72 grade, agreed chemistry, particle-size definition and any fines or oversize limits.

If additional inspection documents are required, include them in the inquiry before shipment rather than requesting them after the material has already been packed.

 

 

When requesting a quotation, tell us whether you need one broad 10-100mm range or separately screened FeSi72 fractions. If your process also controls material below 10mm or above 100mm, include those acceptance limits in the inquiry.
