What is Ferro Titanium?
Ferro Titanium is an alloying additive consisting of iron and titanium with a minimum weight of titanium /20%/ and a maximum weight content /75%/ produced by reduction or melting. Ferrotitanium is used as a deoxidizing and degassing component in the production of steel. we can provide FeTi 30， FeTi 40， FeTi 70.
How Do You Make Ferro Titan?
The raw materials for industrial production of ferrotitanium include ilmenite concentrate (Fe-TiO3), rutile (TiO2), titanium dioxide (TiO2), and scrap titanium metal (Ti, Ti-V-Al, etc.). Except for scrap titanium metal, all other materials must be reduced with a reducing agent to obtain ferrotitanium and titanium alloy. The main methods for producing ferrotitanium include aluminothermic method, electrosilicon thermal method, and electrocarbon thermal method, as well as remelting of scrap titanium metal.
