Advantages of Manganese Briquette

Improved handling
Manganese briquettes are compact and have a consistent shape, making them easier to handle and reducing the risk of spills or accidents during transportation.

Enhanced melting and alloying properties
The compact form of briquettes ensures a higher density, resulting in improved melting and alloying properties during steel production or other manufacturing processes.

Cost-effective
By using manganese briquettes, manufacturers can optimize their alloying processes, leading to reduced raw material consumption and overall cost savings.

Environmental benefits
Manganese briquettes help reduce dust emissions during handling and transport, contributing to a cleaner and safer working environment.

Manganese briquette is a new type of Mn metal. Manganese is an indispensable additive in the smelting industry. It is mainly used for desulfurization and deoxidation of steel in the steel industry. It is also used as an additive for alloys to improve the strength, hardness, elastic limit, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of steel. In high-alloy steel, it is also used as austenite compounding element for refining stainless steel, special alloy steel, stainless steel welding rod, etc. In addition, it is also used in non-ferrous metals, chemicals, medicine, food, analysis and scientific research.
Types of Manganese Briquette
Manganese briquettes
Briquettes made from manganese ore are called manganese ore briquettes. They are produced using a manganese ore fines pelletizing plant. The ore is first crushed before being put through a screening process, where it is classified into different sizes.
Ferroalloy briquettes
The metallurgical industry often employs ferromanganese briquettes (or manganese ferroalloy briquettes) as a critical component. The process of making them comprises smelting manganese ore with a reducing agent, usually coke, in a high-temperature furnace. Ferromanganese's main use is manganese steel production, which boosts steel's toughness and abrasion resistance.

Manganese briquettes typically have a 3.0 to 3.4 g/cm3 density. This affects the weight and volume of the briquettes and how they are handled, transported, and stored.
The percentage of manganese in a briquette can change, but it is usually between 30% and 60% (referred to as Mn30 and Mn60). The manganese content has a major impact on the physical and chemical properties of the briquettes as well as their uses.
Production Process of Manganese Briquette
The appropriate amount of manganese content is 99.5% 99.7% low-carbon (≤0.03%) low-sulfur (≤0.03%) electrolytic metal manganese flakes are rolled into powder, and passed through a 20-40 mesh standard sieve.
Add 3 to 5 kg of inorganic binders that do not contain elements such as S, P, and C (accounting for 3% to 5% by weight), control the Si content < 0.5%, and stir quickly in a bowl mixer for 30 to 50 seconds , to obtain the mixture, the spare mixture is molded into a compact within 20 to 30 minutes, and the shape of the compact is a double ball table cylinder or the geometric size is 25*35*55mm.
The compact obtained is placed in a baking room equipped with a fan and a circulation exhaust fan within 5-6 hours, and baked under a temperature environment of 180-200° C. for 6-8 hours to obtain a maximum crushing force of 1.5KN. Carbon manganese balls. Put the obtained dry manganese metal block into the capsule-shaped special stainless steel tank, and send it into the horizontal vacuum sintering furnace.
Manganese Briquette Storage
Briquettes should be stored in a cool, dry area far away from any flammable materials or substances. Customers should avoid stacking briquettes too high, as this can result in damage and crushing. Employees who work with briquettes should wear the appropriate PPE when handling them, including safety glasses and gloves.
