What is low carbon ferrochrome used for?

According to the reflection of low-carbon ferrochrome manufacturers, we know that the advantages of this product are also reflected in various aspects. It has low density when used, but high strength and rigidity.

In fact, low-carbon ferrochrome can improve the oxidation resistance of steel and increase the corrosion resistance of steel. Therefore, it will contain chromium in many steels with special physical and chemical properties. What you should understand here is that the chromium in steel is added with ferrochrome. In addition, its high-carbon ferrochrome is also used as an alloying agent for ball steel, tool steel, die steel (5%~12%Cr) and high-speed steel. In this case, if it is used, it can improve the hardenability of steel and increase the wear resistance and hardness of steel. In addition, as long as it is a regular low-carbon ferrochrome manufacturer, its products have good toughness and shock absorption. If external force is applied, it is easy to cause large deformation.

Low-carbon ferrochrome contains 30% gas (mainly N2 and H2). When used for steelmaking, these gases will float on the interface between molten steel and slag, increase the combustion loss of chromium, and reduce the recovery rate; bubbles containing iron chromium will cause a large amount of metal loss during crushing and packaging. Vacuum treatment of low carbon ferrochrome is a casting process to reduce the gas content of the alloy. The ladle filled with liquid ferrochrome is placed in a vacuum chamber, sealed, and evacuated with a vacuum pump for about 5 to 7 minutes to a vacuum degree of 10.6 kPa to 13.3 kPa. Then the vacuum is broken, the ladle is taken out, and cast again to achieve the purpose of reducing inclusions and gas, smoothing the surface, and reducing breakage and packaging losses.
