A graphitised carbonising agent is a product that is obtained by subjecting petroleum coke to a high temperature in order to graphitise it. The production of graphitized petroleum coke involves the placement of the coke in a graphitizing furnace, which is typically an Acheson furnace. The conductive electrodes at the front and back of the Acheson furnace are lined with carbon-based baked products, which serve as conductive heating cores. These cores are composed of a layer of carbon-based baked goods that have been laid in a specific manner to facilitate optimal conductivity. Following a high-temperature treatment of approximately 3000°C, the disordered layered carbon crystals present in the petroleum coke are converted into hexagonal layered carbon, effectively transforming the petroleum coke into graphite. This process is referred to as graphitisation. The resulting product, which is subjected to further processing, is known as graphitised petroleum coke.
