Product Introduction

What the Graphitized petroleum coke Is

1–4mm Graphitized Petroleum Coke for Steel Industry is produced by heat-treating premium petroleum coke at ultra-high temperatures to convert its carbon structure into a highly crystalline graphite form. This transformation significantly improves carbon purity, increases thermal conductivity, and enhances dissolution behavior during molten steel charging.

The controlled 1–4mm granule size is optimized for steel furnace operations. These particles enter the melt quickly, disperse evenly, and provide rapid carbon absorption without floating losses. This ensures higher carbon recovery, improved melting kinetics, and more stable steel composition adjustment. The material's low sulfur and ash content support the production of clean, high-performance steel grades.

Because of its consistent granule size distribution, 1–4mm GPC is widely used in basic oxygen furnaces (BOF), electric arc furnaces (EAF), induction furnaces, ladle refining, and secondary metallurgical operations. It improves metal purity, reduces impurities in slag, and enhances the efficiency of carbon control throughout the steelmaking cycle.

Each batch undergoes strict testing for fixed carbon content, sulfur level, particle uniformity, and moisture. The material maintains stable performance even under high-temperature, high-agitation furnace environments. Custom size fractions can also be provided based on customer process requirements.

Packaging & FAQ

Packaging

When it comes to packaging our graphite petroleum coke, We prioritize protection, compliance, and flexibility. We use multi-layer sealed woven bags with moisture-proof inner liners to keep the product dry and prevent dust leakage during ocean transport. For bulk orders, we offer heavy-duty FIBC ton bags with anti-moisture linings, while smaller shipments come in standard 25kg/50kg bags. All packaging meets IMDG Code standards, with clear labeling for safe, compliant shipping. Optional palletized packing is also available for added stability on long voyages.
