10-50mm Ferrovanadium Steel Making

 

Ferrovanadium, a master alloy with approximately 50% vanadium content, is produced by reducing raw materials with carbon or aluminium. The resulting product is in the 10-50mm range. Given vanadium's strong affinity for carbon, carbothermic reduction is only a viable option when low carbon content is not a requirement. The reaction between V2O5 and aluminium is self-sustaining and complete within a few minutes. Upon completion of the process, the furnace is cooled, dismantled, and the resulting metal block is cleaned and crushed to the desired particle size. Ferrovanadium is typically supplied in a fist-sized "standard granularity," but it can also be crushed into various particle size fractions, which can be determined through consultation with our sales team.
