Nitrided ferrosilicon is usually synthesized from a ferrosilicon alloy or monocrystalline silicon at elevated temperatures using nitriding technology. The finer the ferrosilicon, the lower the porosity of the sample, the larger the specific surface area, the faster and more intense the reaction.
