Ferrosilicon 45% Fine Size

 

Ferrosilicon 45 Alloy comprising 41-47% silicon are not produced due to their vulnerability to degradation upon exposure to contaminants such as aluminum, phosphorus, or moisture, which may lead to the emission of toxic fumes. To attain the desired silicon concentration, crushed carbon steel chips are integrated into the alloy. The final product is available in various forms, including pieces weighing up to 25 kg, castings up to 45 kg, and sieved crushed particles. For applications necessitating long-term storage, ferrosilicon is manufactured in ingot form, with a thickness of 100 mm for single-layer casting and 150 mm for double-layer casting. It is crucial to ensure that ferrosilicon remains free from contamination by any materials, with the exception of minor inclusions of welding sand and residues from adhesion and slag film.
