 Ferrosilicon 65 is supplied in batches composed of one of three methods. Float method - a batch composed by the float method consists of a mass of ferrosilicon from one melt (or one part of a continuous melt). Blot method - a batch compiled by the blot method consists of several melts (or parts of continuous melts) of the same grade of ferrosilicon. The mass fraction of silicon in the melts (or parts of continuous melts) constituting a batch should not differ from each other by more than 3%. Mixed method - a batch compiled by a mixed method consists of several melts (or parts of continuous melts) of ferrosilicon of the same grade, which is crushed to particles less than 200 mm and thoroughly mixed.
