Ferro Silicon 75% Description
Adding FeSi75 grades containing 1-3% calcium and 0.5-2% barium during the inoculation process can improve the efficiency of nucleation. The silicon content of the alloy makes it more flexible and reduces the likelihood of shrinkage defects in castings. In submerged arc welding, ferro silicon powder (FeSi75, 200 mesh) is used as a flux component. This improves arc stability.
