Graphite Petroleum Coke Description
Petroleum coke is a black or dark grey solid with a metallic luster and a porous structure. It is made up of tiny graphite crystals in different shapes. Petroleum coke can be used in graphite production, smelting and the chemical industry. Calcined coke is used to make ultra-high-power graphite electrodes and special carbon products. In steelmaking, needle coke is important for new electric furnace steelmaking technologies. Medium-sulphur calcined coke is used in aluminium smelting. High-sulphur raw coke is used in chemical production and metal casting.
