Vanadium pentoxide is commercially available in two forms: vanadium pentoxide flakes and vanadium pentoxide powder. Flakes of vanadium pentoxide have a lower sulphur and dust content and a higher density than powdered vanadium pentoxide and are therefore mainly used in the production of ferrovanadium and vanadium-aluminum master alloys.
