Pale Gray Powder Si3N4 Description
Silicon nitride is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula Si3N4. It has a light off-white colour. Silicon nitride can be manufactured by subjecting silicon powder to a nitrogen heat treatment or by reacting silicon halide with ammonia. With the exception of hydrofluoric acid, it does not react with other inorganic acids. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and is highly resistant to oxidation at elevated temperatures.
Silicon nitride represents a new generation of high-tech materials. We also supply other ferroalloys, including ferrosilicon nitride and silicon manganese nitride.
