Silicon Calcium Lump Description
Calcium silicon is a mix of silicon and calcium. It is also a ferroalloy with impurities including iron, aluminium, carbon, sulphur and phosphorus. It comes in lumps or powder.
Calcium and silicon like to be with oxygen. Calcium silicon is an excellent deoxidising and desulfurising agent. Silicon alloys can easily remove impurities from steel. Currently, calcium silicon alloy can effectively replace aluminium for final deoxidation purposes.
