Silicon-carbon alloy is a new type of deoxidizer that is much cheaper than other types. It can replace traditional deoxidizers such as ferrosilicon powder, calcium carbide, carbon powder and alloy powder. Carbon silicon alloy has stable physical and chemical properties and removes oxides well. When used in the converter steelmaking process, it quickly reacts with the oxygen in the molten steel to form a steel slag that floats on the surface of the molten steel, thereby achieving the purpose of deoxidation.
