What Temperature Does Magnesium Alloy Melt?

Generally, magnesium has a melting point of about 650 degrees Celsius (about 1202 degrees Fahrenheit). However, for various magnesium alloys, the melting points can range from 600 to 750 degrees Celsius (about 1100 to 1380 degrees Fahrenheit), depending on the alloying elements and their proportions.
For example:

AZ91D, one of the most common magnesium alloys, has a melting range of approximately 650 to 700 degrees Celsius (about 1202 to 1292 degrees Fahrenheit).

AM60 is another magnesium alloy that typically melts around 610 to 660 degrees Celsius (about 1130 to 1220 degrees Fahrenheit).
