Deoxidizer: removes the oxygen content in molten steel during the steelmaking process. Some ferroalloys can also remove other impurities in steel, such as sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, nitrogen, etc.;
Alloy additives: According to the steel composition requirements, alloy elements are added to the steel to improve the performance of the steel;

Inoculant: Add molten iron before casting to improve the crystal structure of the casting. Inoculants are mainly divided into silicon-barium inoculants and ferrosilicon inoculants
Reducing agent: Reducing agents for other ferrous alloys and non-ferrous metals are produced by metal thermal reduction method.

Non-ferrous alloy alloy additives; used in small amounts in chemical and other industries
Main elements generally have higher melting points, oxides are difficult to recover, and pure metals are difficult to extract. Iron alloys are added to steel smelting because molten steel melts easily. Therefore, most of the deoxidation and alloy additions in the steelmaking production process are in the form of ferroalloys. Iron alloys are usually very brittle and cannot be used as metallic materials. In addition to single elements, iron alloys are also composed of single elements, and there are also composite iron alloys composed of two or more elements!
