1. Carbon reduction method: This method is one of the commonly used preparation methods for medium carbon ferromanganese. The main raw materials are manganese ore and coke, which produce medium-carbon ferromanganese through high-temperature reduction reaction. Specific steps are as follows:
a. Crush manganese ore to obtain manganese ore powder of appropriate particle size.
b. Mix manganese ore powder and coke in a certain proportion to make a uniform mixture.
c. Put the mixture into a high-temperature electric furnace or blast furnace to carry out the reduction reaction. In the reduction area, the coke generates high temperature and reacts with manganese ore to produce medium carbon ferromanganese. The medium carbon ferromanganese produced by the reaction becomes liquid at high temperature and deposits on the bottom of the furnace.
d. After the reaction is completed, cool and solidify the medium carbon ferromanganese at the bottom of the furnace to obtain the finished product.

2. Electric furnace reduction method: This method is similar to the carbon reduction method, but uses an electric furnace for the reaction. Specific steps are as follows:
a. Crush manganese ore to obtain manganese ore powder of appropriate particle size.
b. Mix manganese ore powder with an appropriate amount of reducing agent (such as coke) in a certain proportion to make a uniform mixture.
c. Put the mixture into an electric furnace and heat it with electricity. Through the introduction of electric current, high temperature is generated, and the mixture undergoes a reduction reaction to generate medium carbon ferromanganese. The medium carbon ferromanganese produced by the reaction becomes liquid at high temperature and deposits on the bottom of the furnace.
d. After the reaction is completed, cool and solidify the medium carbon ferromanganese at the bottom of the furnace to obtain the finished product.
