The straight weldability of polyurethane enameled wire refers to the ability of the enameled wire coated with lacquer film to destroy the lacquer film and to be tinned on the winding line when the lacquer film is thermally cleaved into low relative molecular mass volatile substances in the tin-lining bath at a certain temperature. In this way, when the polyurethane enameled wire needs to be jointed, it is not necessary to remove the coating beforehand, and its direct welding characteristics simplify the production process of the winding wire and effectively improve the production efficiency.

Effect of Catalysts on Polyurethane Enameled Wire

 

Types of catalysts: polyurethane cool wire enamel paint common reactions are isocyanate cool addition and closure reaction, containing light-based resin components of the synthesis reaction, after the preparation of paint curing reaction in the winding line and the decomposition of the enameled wire in the tin lining tank reaction. The choice of catalyst is also specific to these aspects.

 

Three types of catalysts are commonly used: tertiary amines, metal compounds, and organic jagged. The main application experiences related to polyurethane wire enamels are as follows.


1. Tin catalysts may have a stronger catalytic ability for NCO/OH-type reactions than tertiary amines.
2. In the process of manufacturing polyurethane prepolymer, a small amount of tin catalyst can effectively guide the reaction of isocyanate cool group and light group to generate linear ammocool compounds; tertiary amine catalysts are prone to cause a branching reaction, resulting in high viscosity of the resin or gelling.
3. The acidic condition is favorable for the reaction between the isocyanic acid cool group and light group to form urethane acetate, while alkaline condition accelerates the reaction between the isocyanic acid cool group and light group, and other side reactions are also accelerated.
4. Select the catalyst suitable for catalyzing the addition reaction of the isocyanic acid cool group, but also combined with the winding line of the actual tin lining experiment to determine. Some catalysts show excellent catalytic selectivity in the addition reaction of isocyanic acid vinegar group, but after the tin-lining test, it is found that the residue left behind is more, and the soldering time is prolonged.
5. Specific circumstances also need specific treatment. In the actual production of coatings, a series of practical tests should be used to determine the appropriate catalyst species.
