Low Price Ferrosilicon is used as an alloying agent in steelmaking. Adding a certain amount of silicon to steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness, and elasticity of steel, improve the permeability of steel, and reduce the hysteresis loss of transformer steel. It has a metallic bread-colored appearance and is free from powder and slag entrapment. Silicon content in different steels is also different: general steel containing silicon 0.15% to 0.35%; structural steel containing silicon 0.40% to 1.75%; tool steel containing silicon 0.30% to 1.80%; spring steel containing silicon 0.40%% to 2.80%; stainless acid-resistant steel containing silicon 3.40% to 4.00%; heat-resistant steel containing silicon 1.00% to 3.00%; silicon steel containing silicon 2% to 3% or higher. ～Silicon steel contains 2% to 3% silicon or more.
