Cored wire technology is the technology of manufacturing and application of cored wire, cored wire spools are divided into two kinds: internal tapping and external tapping. The inner tapped coil can be fed directly into the ladle through the feeder and conduit device, while the outer tapped coil will be placed on the turntable of the pay-off device and fed into the ladle through the feeder and conduit.
In order to control the amount of cored wire fed and the feeding speed, the wire feeder is equipped with a counter showing the length of wire fed and a speed change controller to control the total length. Wire feeder is generally divided into single line and double line two kinds, also can be single line, double line sequence feeding. The wire feeder is small in size and flexible in use, and can meet the requirements of the ladle feeding process.
By feeding the core wire into the liquid steel through the wire feeder, it can change the composition and morphology of inclusions in the steel and improve the mechanical properties of the steel; it can also eliminate the clogging of the water outlet.
